What we collect
When you send an enquiry we receive the details you enter: name, phone, email, postcode and your project description, plus anything you email us such as drawings or photos. Photos or plans added to the form reach us by email along with the enquiry; the web server does not keep a copy. Each enquiry also carries a short note of the first page you opened here, the referring site (Google, for example) and any campaign codes in the web address you arrived on. That is how we learn which adverts and searches bring in work.
Cookies
Nothing from Google Analytics or Google Ads is stored on your device until you press Accept on our cookie panel. If you press Reject, or leave the panel alone, that stays the case, although Google may still get a plain, cookie-free signal that a page was opened or an enquiry was sent. You can change your answer whenever you like with the Cookie settings link at the foot of each page.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, survey and quote your project, carry out the work and keep the records needed for guarantees and accounting. Enquiries are stored in our customer management system. Your details are never sold, and we only share them with suppliers where a job needs it, for example galvanising or glass.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not turn into a job we delete it after a year. Records of completed projects stay on file for six years, because guarantees and HMRC both expect that.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@steelstaircasesandmetalworkltd.co.uk.
